USA Dream

Hi guys.
Some news, afta this Christmas week that I spent in Illinois and Wisconsin, with Sharon's family. As ya'll know I left last Thursday, n afta a 15 hours long drive (i'm glad i got my dvd player...) I arrived in Chicago on Friday. Met my 'uncle', his wife, their baby. Hanged out a bit, went to the restaurant, you know, nothing really exciting. Saturday was exciting tho. We went to Chicago, I mean the actual Chicago, cuz basically they live in the suburb... Shed Aquarium, pretty cool, and walk to Navy pier afta that. Chicago by night, Sears Tower, Pretty awesome ! It's kinda like NY, really cool, with all that skyscrapers and stuff. Well I like this city :) And this Lake, it's like... the sea. It's like huge huge, u can't even see the other side.
On sunday we left to Wisconsin, where my 'grandma' lives. So I met like 30 people forn Sharon's family (she has like 10 brothers and sisters...) Really cool guys, nice and stuff. I really enjoyed my stay with 'em ! I stayed Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday (Call u guys on Monday, lot of ya'll actually, n I was glad to hear from ya'll :)) On tuesday night we went to milwaukee, kinda a big city in Wisconsin, for those who dont give a shit to the US (Hahaha sorry for cursing but it's my new favorite expression :p) We spent 2 nights at the Hilton Milwaukee ! Yeah, yeah, Hilton, like Paris, but more like Hilton. Huge hotel, waterpark inside, red carpet... Hahaha, great hotel :D And the Starbucks in it, so basically my new favorite drink is The double chocolate Chip Frappuccino :D Anyway... On wednesday I saw Thomas (yeah man ^^), in Milwaukee, for a few hours of shopping. Hahaha man that was so much fun, thx a lot ! I spent like 200 bucks, in a bunch of stuff that I dont even know if im gona wear 'em (Hahaha that coat, I looked at it Thomas, and It's definitely not my style :p 30 bucks tho, I had to buy it :p) So yeah basically don't go shopping with Thomas, cuz he has a very bad influence on you. he makes you spend all your money... Hahaha Thx again man, take care :)
And we left Thursday, short stop in Chicago (see some friends), and then get back to the car for the way back... We arrived at 5am today :D I mean on Friday, cuz for ya'll today it's Saturday :D But anyways, that was an awesome week, with lot of gifts (Sudoku game, Books, Shirts, Clock, Football Shirt, Ornement for the tree, AND THE FIRST SEASON OF OTH HAHAHA), lot of clothes (Shoes, pants, shirts, sweaters... thx thomas :p)
Well, as ya'll know, Sunday night we arrive in a new Year :D 2007 is gonna ba as great as 2006, even more :D For me, and i hope for you guys. I'll try to call some of you on sunday, at midnight for ya'll (just 6pm here...) and I hope some of you guys will call me at midnight for me :p

Just a few words, after this awesome day that I spent today, just to tell y'all that I just love life :) It's pretty weird to say that that way, but I just believe that this year will be the most wonderful of my life :) If you guys want to become exchange students, do so, cuz it's the best thing that can happen to you, trust me !
Basically I'm glad to wake up everyday, glad to go to school, glad to come back and hang out with my family, glad to sleep, to eat, to watch TV, to do sports, glad to live :) I'm not high, i swear, I'm just happy :)
This week end I went to Charleston to see my grdsparents, we did christmas together, we played tennis, we shopped... Wonderful WE. Last week, normal week of school, with friends and fun. And i may go to visit Jadouuu in January :D
I'm done for today, pretty short I know, it was just to share my feelings a bit :)

Hi people.
Just a little note, on this friday morning, to talk about Thanksgiving here, my first one, and I hope not the last one !
I first thought it's kinda a christmas, a second christmas, but not really. No gifts during thxgiving unfortunately... (You can still send me sone tho :p). Thxgiving here, it's like a time when the family's members stay together, talk, play cards, watch a football game, and of course eat ! So basically yesterday (the third Thursday of November I guess), I woke up a 10, but everyone was already up for 4 hours :p They were all cooking. Everyone is supposed to cook, so I started cook my sweet potatoes, which are btw pretty good ! 2 hours of cooking, with all the family, between the asperges burnt and the turkey's smell (mmmmm). While my food was beeing cooked, I went check the mail, and here starts the best part of thxgiving : Thousands of flyers for the sales of the day after thanksgiving, called black friday. It's kinda a perfect day to shop, everything is soooo cheap. You can find notebooks for 200 $, camera for nothing, clothes as well... And trust me the mail box was full of flyers, so I needed about 2 hours to make a first selection of what i wanted to buy. And basically, I became crazy ^^
Well, after the dishes done (let me tell u that the tradition here is to cook cook cook, even tho you know that it's too much, and then eat 10% of all that food, sometimes even less, but eat all the leftovers the days after thxgiving, so i think i'll have turkay for breakfast, lunch and diner for about 1 week !) we ate, took pictures, talk, eat, eat, drink (red wine thx :D), eat, eat... After that, FOOTBALL GAME. Okay basically i become sooo american now. I loooove Football, it's omg much better than soccer ! Dunno why don't have it in France it's such a great sport. So i stayed like 3 hours in front of the TV, yelling, cheering, eating popcorn (new american characteristic, I used to hate it, and now I looove it)... Football is so amazing... While I was watching TV, I was doing the second selection for the sales, and I still had problems to focus on one thing to buy. First, I was on a notebook for 300 $, then a camera, then a PSP, then another notebook... Too hard to live in the consumption society ! Well, I honnestly spent like 5 hours on that flyers, while talking about it with the family. At around 9, after 2 football games, 1 movie and 100 flyers, I decided to buy a new camera, since the old one is dead after the canoe trip. I'll talk about it soon. After that, running in the sport room, weight lifting, while watching the lord of the rings, and omg i didn't know that movie and it's my new favorite one.
Okay. So now let me talk about how works that sales, for the day after thxgiving. Basically every single store opens at... 5am. Yes right, 5am. They have great deals, so people to buy it, and to fight for, so you gotta wake up at 4am to go shopping at 5. I woke up at 4, woke Bill up, and we went to circuit city. At 5 am, the line outside was huuuge. Some people slept out of the store, in their sleeping bag :p That was sooo long, fun tho. In the store, big mess, people almost fighting, crying :p Hahaha I ran to the camera I saw in the flyers, asked for it, and GET IT :D Awesome camera. Samgung Digimax S700, 7.2 MP, 3X optical zoom, a lot of great stuff on it... (http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Samsung-Digimax-S700-Digital-Camera/sem/rpsm/oid/159291/catOid/-13062/rpem/ccd/productDetail.do), for 119 $ !!! Hahaha it's about 90 euros, for that awesome camera. Great Deal :D Some great pictures soon I guess (yeah cuz tonight I go to the lazer tag with about 60 friends :p). I hesitated between that camera and that notebook for 300$, but I'll wait a bit and probably buy the computer for christmas. After one hour in the line to pay for it, we were out at 6 ^^

Well, that's all :D Great day today I guess, I'll try to shop some more, buy some clothes.
