I'm really sorry but I'll write this article in English today because I really want to use English as much as I can ! I'll write in "English from French School", that's mean that it will be very easy to understand me, and there will probably be some mistakes in my English today, because I've been here for just 3 weeks, but I have a year to correct these mistakes !
So... If you don't understand (mum I know that you'll be fed up with English, so use a translator, or ask Charlotte I'm sure she can understand everything !), I'm sorry but be ready to read a lot of English this year because I'm going to use it !
Some news... A nice week, even if the beginning was quite difficult. But I guess that the sadness on Monday was linked to an English Test on Tuesday ( percentage : 100% at that test so I'm quite happy !). A typical school week, some easy tests (except for the US History one, I think I've completely failed !)
I'm now able to have long discussions in English (even if I'm still looking for my words), so people can understand me, that's mean more friends ! Now I have a lot of fun in Theater, Math (a funny thing about that... My Math teacher doesn't know the "derivee de fonction " !!! And I'm really happy because it's the first time I can be successful in Math !), Communication System (If someone from my communication system class takes a look on my blog... "This is the crap !" MDR) and still in US history. The tennis lesson in sooooo boring. The teacher teaches us how to hold a racquet ! But on Monday I'll play with Max, the German Exchange Student, and he seems to play well.
I have now a pass that allows me to go out campus for lunch ! More Wendy's, more Pizza Hut ! Great !
Apart from school. I become aware that there are here more francophone that I expected. Why ? Because the African community is quite important, so there is a lot of people from Senegal, Morocco... And there is also at Enloe a French, who's lived in the USA for 10 years. And it's really strange to speak French here because I expect people to speak English, so when they tell me : "Bonjour", I answer in English and it's really hard to speak in French, the feelings are so... strange !
Today I was at Exploris, as a Teen Volunteer. Exploris is the museum where Sharon works. I love this museum, really interesting ! So today, exhibitions because of the 9/11, I was welcoming people, help them finding their way, play with the kids... A really good day with a lot of meetings !
And then, after Exploris, a really great time ! There were firemen outside, because of the exhibitions. I asked them if I could take a view on the firemen engine, and they were agreed ! So I 'visited' the Engine ! It's really big ! Pictures in a few days !
Then, We went in the Park close to Exploris, where there was a free concert ! And there was a stand occupied by the channel that diffuses One Tree Hill here ! And there were some actors from One Tree Hill ! I was... WOOWWW. Not Michael Murray, sorry Charlotte, but there were Moira Kelly (Luca's mother in the show) and Barbara Alyn Woods (Nathan's mother in the show). I've talked with both of them, they are really nice!!! They are going to go in France during the next season (maybe!) I took a picture with them! You'll think I'm creasy, but it's really strange to meet someone you've seen on TV thousand of times!
Well, now, I want to thank Gege for her letter, Diloute for her candies and letter (thanks for the Pastilles Vichy!) and also Nelly VDS for the Polo that I've just received yesterday! It's really nice! I'll send you a letter in a few days!
Sorry for English! I know it's a bad English, I know there are mistakes, but I speak better than I write! And I've time to learn! Please Simon or Elies I don't want comments such as 'there is a mistake here!’ Only Diloute can make a comment about it!
Take Care.
Valentin.
